Lorna Biljan & Eric Abert

CVille Market is the newest baby for Lorna + Eric. After moving back to Eric’s hometown in Collinsville, IL in 2022 with their new human baby, Lorna contemplated reviving Lovely Soup Co. (the couple’s former side business), but the “Lovely” brand didn’t quite fit. After a couple years of trying out different paths, tweaking the biz model, and a fresh rebranding, they decided to flip their wooden shed behind their home into the “Bake Shack”, and offer a unique shopping opportunity for locals.

What is the CVille Market Bake Shack? It starts with signing up for the email list, hopping onto the website once the menu drops, and securing your pick up window with a pre-order of our made fresh-to-order Juices, Pastries, Wholesome Breads, and Flash-Frozen Soups. Once you arrive during your pick up window, the Bake Shack is yours to retrieve your items, say “hey” to our hard working girls (chickens), shop a few extras, and view the community board. CVille Market celebrates inclusivity and offers Classic European Bakes+ Midwestern Favorites, as well as several Vegan, Grain Free, and Refined Sugar Free options.

Lorna is a personal chef and cooking instructor from Chicago who started off her career as an award-winning mixologist, popping up in places like GQ Magazine, and working with Michelin-starred chefs. During those early years, she got acquainted with a very cute bartender, Eric Abert, at Longman + Eagle, where he cut his chops behind the stick and went on to work with Belle Meade Bourbon. Eric is an accomplished and talented musician, an accredited sound engineer + producer, and currently works with his brother in the print-on-demand world.
